Your Alarm Panel Shouldn't Need Its Own App
Most VMS and VSaaS platforms treat intruder panels as a separate world - a different app, a different login, a different monitoring contract. TetherX makes the panel a first-class part of the platform.
Texecom Premier & Elite
Real-time zone status, remote arming and disarming, virtual keypad, and per-zone bypass without disarming the whole site. Wired in over a USB-COM cable straight into the on-site TetherBox. See the Texecom integration
Hikvision AX Pro, Honeywell, DSC, Bosch, Risco, Vanderbilt and more
Hikvision AX Pro integrates natively over IP. Honeywell Galaxy, DSC PowerSeries, Bosch, Risco, Vanderbilt, Inim, Napco, Johnson Controls, ADT, Siemens and any other panel speaking SIA DC-09 or Contact ID report in via an IP communicator. TetherX is the alarm receiving centre - no third-party ARC required in the middle.
Visual Alarm Verification
Cameras are linked to alarm zones. When a zone activates, the operator gets a push notification with the matching camera image attached and one-click access to live and recorded video. False alarms dismissed without a callout, genuine ones escalated immediately with footage already in hand.
A Real Virtual Keypad. On Every Device.
Texecom Premier and Elite panels show up in TetherX with a virtual keypad that behaves like the metal one on the wall - full set, part set, area select, individual zone bypass, log review, output control. No app-switching to arm a site before you leave.
Operators in the central control room and keyholders on a phone see the same keypad, with the same live zone status, the same camera tile beside it, and the same audit log of who armed what and when.
Why the Blind Spot Exists
Video and intrusion grew up as separate industries, with separate vendors, separate certifications and separate sales channels. The big VMS platforms were built to record and play back footage. Cloud VSaaS platforms doubled down on that, optimising for streaming and storage rather than panel-level control.
The intruder side stayed where it was: panels reporting up to an alarm receiving centre over a phone line or an IP communicator, monitored by a separate team on a separate screen. The result is a security stack that looks integrated on a slide deck and is anything but in the control room.
What Changes at 03:00 on a Wet Tuesday
With a typical VMS / VSaaS setup, an alarm signal arrives at a separate monitoring centre, the operator phones a keyholder, the keyholder logs into the camera app on their phone, finds the right site, finds the right camera, and tries to work out whether the activation is genuine. By that point a real intruder has been on site for several minutes.
With intruder fully integrated into the platform, the camera image is already attached to the alarm event when the notification fires. Verification is one tap. False alarms get dismissed without a callout. Genuine ones get escalated immediately, with footage already in hand.
The Phone Line Your Alarm Reports Over Is Being Switched Off
Across Australia the NBN rollout is disconnecting the copper telephone network, and in the UK the PSTN switch-off is retiring analogue lines for good. Any alarm that still signals down a phone line goes quiet the day that line dies - and most people never find out until it is too late.
A copper dialler that fails in silence
The panel still arms. The keypad still says "ready". But the activation never reaches anyone, because the line it reported over no longer exists. You discover the gap at the worst possible moment - after the break-in, with nothing in the log and no one ever called.
A supervised IP path that tells you when it drops
TetherX reports over an IP path through the TetherBox - the same outbound tunnel that carries your cameras - and watches that connection continuously. If the path drops, that is an alert in its own right, raised in minutes, not a silence you find weeks later. No copper, nothing to be switched off underneath you.
One Platform, Every Site, Every Panel
Thousands of panels across hundreds of sites in a single platform, instead of one manufacturer app per site and a spreadsheet to keep track of them all.
Remote Arm / Disarm
Virtual keypad on web and mobile. Per-area part-set or full-set, per-zone bypass, all audited.
Custom Alert Sounds
Perimeter breach sounds different from a routine motion event - you know which alarm woke you before you open the app.
SIA DC-09 Receiver
TetherX is the alarm receiving centre. SIA and Contact ID events arrive directly, no ARC subscription in the middle.
Audited Event Log
Every arm, disarm, bypass, zone trip and operator action timestamped. Footage attached to the matching alarm event automatically.
Panel Manufacturers Integrated Today
Native Texecom integration over serial. Native Hikvision AX Pro over IP. Any other panel via SIA DC-09 or Contact ID over an IP communicator.
Same software watching the cameras. Same software receiving the alarms.
The platform watching the cameras should be the same one acting on the alarm. Anything less is a control room running on goodwill and tab-switching.
