6.1 Our Role
When providing our security management services, TetherX acts as a data processor on behalf of our customers (the data controllers). Our customers determine the purposes and means of processing security system data.

TetherX integrates with a wide range of IP-enabled security devices and systems. Data processed may include:

  1. CCTV and video footage from customer premises
  2. Video metadata (timestamps, camera identifiers, locations)

  5. Alarm signalling and intruder detection data
  6. Access control data (entry/exit events, credential usage, door status)
  7. Sensor and relay data (environmental sensors, I/O devices)
  8. Data from any IP-enabled device with an accessible API

  10. Access logs and audit trails

6.3 Processing Purposes
Security data is processed solely for security monitoring, incident investigation, evidence preservation, system health monitoring, and other purposes determined by our customers as data controllers.

All security data is protected through encryption in transit, secure cloud storage, role-based access controls, and comprehensive audit logging.

6.5 Retention
Data retention periods are determined by our customers. We provide tools for customers to configure retention policies and securely delete data when no longer required.

6.6 Your Rights
If your personal data is captured by security systems managed through TetherX, your data subject rights should be exercised with the data controller (the organisation operating the security systems). We will assist our customers in responding to such requests.

7. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored securely in the TetherX cloud infrastructure. We use Akamai for VPS servers and Wasabi for cloud video recording storage.

Data Centre Locations:

  5. India

Video and security data is stored in the region closest to you for optimal performance. Additional locations may be added.

Third-Party Service Providers:
We use the following categories of service providers who may process your data:

  1. Cloud Infrastructure: Akamai for server hosting; Wasabi for cloud storage
  2. Analytics: Server-side analytics for website usage analysis (no third-party tracking cookies)
  3. Customer Support: Help desk systems for managing support requests
  4. Marketing: LinkedIn and Facebook pixels, and other relevant advertising platforms
  5. Email Communications: Email service providers for newsletters and notifications
  6. Payment Processing: Secure payment processors for transactions
  7. Spam Prevention: Google reCAPTCHA for form protection

All service providers are contractually bound to protect your data and process it only as instructed.

8. International Data Transfers

12. Right to Be Forgotten

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances. To be forgotten:
