Accreditations across the TetherX installer network
TetherX partners hold the accreditations security-procurement buyers and insurers filter on. Coverage varies by partner.
Counts reflect partners currently in the TetherX directory holding each accreditation.
Four ingredients for better restaurant security & operations.
Drive-thru, kitchen pass, dining floor, back-of-house. Each gets one capability that makes the day measurably better - and the four sit on one timeline.
INGREDIENT 1
Drive-thru lane ANPR
Read the plate at the order point. Tie an order ID to the car the moment they pull up, so the runner walks the right bag to the right window. The dispute "I never got my order" becomes a thirty-second clip share, not a regional manager visit.
INGREDIENT 2
Kitchen pass & food safety
Cameras at the pass, prep stations and walk-in support FSA and HACCP audits without sending a regional manager. Bookmark a temperature-log moment, share the clip with the franchisor or EHO by signed link.
INGREDIENT 3
EPOS-linked till floor
Voids, refunds, no-sales, comps and discounts on the same timeline as the till camera. Loss prevention jumps from suspect transaction to camera angle in one click. Cross-store search in seconds.
INGREDIENT 4
Dining-floor flow Coming soon
Customer counts per hour, peak-time identification, dwell heatmaps and line-crossing for off-limits areas. Staff the next shift from data, not from "Friday felt busy".
The drive-thru lane, instrumented
ANPR is the obvious bit. The valuable bit is what you do with the plate next.
Tie an order ID to a number plate
The order-point camera reads the plate. The order-management integration ties that plate to the ticket. By the time the car reaches window two, the runner already knows which bag is whose - even when three cars share an identical order from a coupon push.
- ANPR overlay on the order-point camera, real-time plate read
- Order ID associated with plate via order-management integration
- Repeat-customer recognition across visits and across sites in a region
- "I never got my order" disputes resolve in a thirty-second signed clip share
The day-to-day workflows on one platform
Built around how franchise area managers, loss-prevention leads and EHO-facing operations actually work - day shift, late shift and after the lights go out.
EPOS event search across the estate
Search every void, refund, no-sale, comp and high-value discount across the chain by employee, store or item. Each event opens to its till camera angle in one click - no DVR scrubbing, no calling the manager.
Till-side employee-theft investigation
Cash drawer opens without a sale, repeat low-value voids on one employee, comps that follow a single till - the workflow flags the pattern across the estate and opens straight to the till camera. Build the evidence pack in minutes, not an afternoon of DVR scrubbing.
Service quality & customer-employee interactions
Audio-capable cameras at the counter, drive-thru window and dining floor capture the exchange of funds, goods and the tone of the interaction. Use it for service-quality reviews, training clips and staff-safety incidents - and as evidence when a complaint reaches head office.
Food-safety & HACCP evidence on tap
Pin a moment to a HACCP checklist entry, bookmark a fridge-temperature alert at the till camera, share the clip with the franchisor or EHO by signed link. No regional-manager site visit needed for an audit query.
Camera-tampering & obstruction alerts
If a camera is repositioned, sprayed, taped over, unplugged or loses its feed, the platform fires an incident-based alert with a timestamp and a clip of the last good frame. The till-side camera that "happened to be blocked" during a void is no longer a coincidence - it is an audit item.
Audio talk-down after hours
Compatible camera speakers let monitoring (or a duty manager) talk down a back-door tamper at 02:00 before it becomes a glazier callout. Two-way audio integrates with the same timeline as the camera.
Footfall, peak-time & dwell Coming soon
Hourly customer counts in and out per restaurant. Heatmaps on the dining floor. Line-crossing alerts on off-limits areas like the kitchen pass or the bin store. Use it to staff Friday night from data, not from feel.
Records through any outage
The TetherBox records full-rate on-site at every restaurant, so a back-of-house broadband drop or a noisy 4G site never costs you the till-side or drive-thru footage you need. When the link returns, events and clips sync to the cloud - franchise area managers and LP teams still have the evidence, even from the site that lost its line on Friday night.
Know before you open the doors.
The TetherBox reads environmental sensors over Modbus and ingests flood, temperature and humidity events from compatible cameras. Same timeline as the cameras, same alert pipeline as a tamper or line-crossing event - routed to the manager's phone before the first customer arrives.
Cold-storage temperature alerts
A temperature probe on the walk-in or under-counter fridge reads into the TetherBox over Modbus. If the temperature drifts overnight, the alert fires on the same timeline as the till and kitchen cameras - so the manager has the heads-up on their phone before they unlock the door, not after a shift of spoiled stock.
Flood & leak detection
Camera-side flood events from compatible cameras, plus a TetherBox sensor input for a floor probe under the sink, dishwasher or walk-in. A burst pipe at 03:00 routes an alert with a clip of the last good frame to the duty manager - hours of mop-up before service, instead of a closed-doors morning.
Extractor & ventilation faults
A sensor input wired to the extractor or ventilation panel surfaces a tripped fan or fault contact as an alert on the platform. The kitchen team gets the heads-up before lunch service, and the evidence sits next to the camera clip if an EHO or insurer queries it later.
TetherX reads sensors and routes the alert with camera evidence; it does not drive plant or BMS / HVAC control. The decision to dispatch an engineer stays with your team.
EPOS-aware cloud VMS for restaurant groups
Four tabs, four workflows. Tap one to see how the platform delivers it.
Till Transactions On The Camera Timeline
Voids, refunds, no-sales and discounts pop up on the same timeline as the till camera. LP stops scrubbing DVR exports - they jump straight to the moment.
- Search by EPOS event, time, store, employee or item
- One-click jump from suspect transaction to till camera angle
- Build evidence packs across multiple incidents in one folder
ANPR The Lane, Tie The Plate To The Order
Plate read on the drive-thru order point. Order ID associated with plate, so the runner routes the right bag to the right window. Disputes resolve in seconds, not site visits.
- ANPR overlay on the order-point camera
- Cross-store visibility - the same plate at three branches in a day
- Signed-link clip share for dispute resolution with franchisees
Kitchen Pass, Prep Stations & Food Safety
Cameras at the pass, prep stations and walk-in. Pin moments to HACCP checks, evidence FSA compliance without dispatching a manager, share clips with the franchisor by signed link.
- Camera bookmarks tied to HACCP checks & temperature logs
- Line-crossing alerts for kitchen-only areas
- Audit-grade evidence pack export for EHO and insurer queries

How TetherX stands out for restaurants
Open platform, channel-only, built for the workflows franchise area managers and LP teams run - on one bill.
One platform, one bill
Video, EPOS-linked events, access control and intruder alerts on one dashboard, one app, one bill - not separate systems per restaurant.
Records through any outage
The TetherBox records full-rate on-site. A site-broadband drop never loses dispute or loss-prevention footage - it syncs when the link returns.
Your retention, full 4K
Set retention per camera at full 4K - long on till and entrance cameras, short elsewhere, with selective cloud to control chain cost. No pricing-band retention cap.
Keep your own ARC
Connect your existing monitoring station for out-of-hours response - Immix, Sentinel, CONXTD, MASterMind, Bold Patriot Manitou, Stages and others. Any ARC software can connect via a generic link - no special integration required. Each franchisee keeps their contract.
Built in the UK and Australia
Built in the UK and Australia. Local representatives in Canada and India. EU, North America and APAC supported. Your data stays in your region (UK, AU, CA, IN, EU, NA, APAC).
Ringfence legacy cameras
Existing cameras (including Hikvision and Dahua) stay reachable behind the TetherBox, off the public Internet - phase NDAA-compliant replacement on your budget cycle. NDAA-ready options include Hanwha Vision, Axis, Avigilon, Pelco, Bosch.
Integrations and compliance for restaurants
EPOS-linked loss prevention and claim-defence evidence for the whole estate.
EPOS integration Coming soon
Tie voids, refunds, no-sales and discounts to the camera. Target platforms: Epos Now, Lightspeed, Square and Zonal in the UK; Tyro, Kounta, Redcat, Bepoz and Impos in Australia.
Slip-and-fall claim defence
Retained, time-stamped, tamper-evident footage of the dining floor and wet-floor kitchen areas defends fraudulent injury and liability claims.
