Quick answers to the questions most people ask on their first message.
How quickly will someone get back to me?
Within one business day for general enquiries, faster during UK / AU business hours. Urgent integrator support queries are routed straight to the on-call team. Tell us a good time to call if a quick voice conversation would save back-and-forth.
Who should be in touch - an end customer, an installer, or someone else?
Anyone is welcome to write in. TetherX is sold exclusively through security integrators, so if you are an end customer we will introduce you to an approved partner in your area for installation, quote and support. If you are an installer or integrator looking to add TetherX to your offer, you go on the Partner Programme path instead. Either way, this form reaches the right team.
What is TetherX in one sentence?
TetherX is a UK-built cloud platform that brings cameras, alarms and access control from 200+ manufacturers into a single dashboard - sold through your local security integrator, not direct. For the industry shorthand: it is an open cloud VMS (Video Management System), delivered as VSaaS (Video Surveillance as a Service) and PSaaS (Physical Security as a Service). See the full FAQ for the longer answer and the platform overview for screenshots and architecture.
Do I need to buy a TetherBox?
Yes - every site needs a TetherBox at the edge. It is the local gateway that talks to the cloud so cameras stay on the site network with no direct Internet access. Likely runs as the TetherBox software on an existing server or PC you already own at the site. Or pick a dedicated TetherBox unit - compact models for vehicles, lamp posts and remote cabinets, mid-size units for typical sites, and rackmount servers recording hundreds of cameras with long local retention. UK customers get hardware shipped direct; outside the UK your integrator sources a compatible unit locally. See the TetherBox range for the full lineup.
Will TetherX work with my existing cameras?
Almost always. TetherX supports 200+ manufacturers (Hanwha, Axis, Bosch, Avigilon, Pelco, Hikvision, Dahua, Uniview, Mobotix, i-PRO, Paxton, Texecom and more) plus any ONVIF / RTSP device. Full supported-devices list. If your kit is on it, the migration is a TetherBox install and a per-camera setup - no re-cabling.
Can I try it before committing?
Yes. A 30-day free trial with a TetherBox included goes through an integrator partner, full platform access, extends on request if you need more evaluation time. Prefer a guided walkthrough first? Book a live demo and we will show you the dashboard, AI search, multi-site and ARC integration end-to-end.
What about pricing?
TetherX is an annual platform subscription priced by channel count, with cloud recording, AI search and ARC monitoring as optional per-camera services added only where you want them. Quoted through your channel partner; monthly billing or 1-3 year prepay terms available. Full pricing breakdown on the FAQ.
Where is my data stored?
In the region closest to the site - hosted in UK, US, Canada, India and Australia data centres. On-demand private clouds available for sovereignty-critical or in-region deployments. Encryption in transit and at rest; ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certified cloud. See the compliance section of the FAQ for the framework-by-framework breakdown (GDPR, Australian Privacy Act, NDAA, PCI DSS and more).
